The Venue: Morganton Community House
From its inception in the 1930s until today, the Morganton Community House has served as a gathering place for clubs, civic groups, receptions and community functions in the City of Morganton and surrounding communities, and like any good community assembly, food has always been a centerpiece of the activities.Â
Event Program, Directions & Parking
Morganton Community House is located in downtown Morganton on the corner of N King and Queen St. Parking is available across the street from the venue. Please see their parking map for more information. For directions, see the Google Map below.Â
- 5pm: Meet & Greet in the Connelly Room
- 5:45pm: Doors open to the Cobb room
- 6pm: Dinner hour begins with a welcome from our chair, Tim Buff. Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance, and National Anthem
- Dessert will be a silent auction. Each table will choose a representative to bid on a dessert. Opportunity will be given for an upset bid.
- We will have candidate trivia to learn something new about each candidate in attendance.
- If time permits we will allow candidates to speak
- Country style steak and gravy
- Herb crusted chicken breast
- Buttered mashed potatoes
- Green beans
- Salad
